Beatlemania in Our Window!

A glimpse into the world of renowned photographer Christopher Smith.

We are lucky enough to be showing an unusual version of the print below in our window at Sheldon. It's eye catching with the progressive effect of 3 dimensional imaging to enhance the impact of the big man himself and the fab four of course!

Rather than write lots of info here I have included a link to an interview I found with Chris, so that you can discover more about the man and his work in his own words. He was talking with Keith Wilson in 2017 for Digital Camera World   Click here and see

However, to put him in context just a bit, Christopher Smith began his photographic career as a sports photographer for a northern newspaper, quickly moving to Fleet St. in 1959 to work for The Daily Herald. From here, he established himself as a sports and personality photographer for the press namely the Sunday Times, for 30 years. Chris now lives in America.

Perhaps one of his more famous pieces involved Muhammad Ali and The Beatles. This one was taken on the Beatles' first tour of America when Muhammad Ali (then Cassius Clay) was training for his first fight against Sonny Liston in 1964. So many firsts!
