Ever wondered how you can make those amazing finishes over a gilded surface?

We have made a little space at Sheldon to show you just that.
It's simple and safe - and very exciting to do!

In the Window
Just done the window again and this time it is full of things for you to paint!
Here are a few

Annie Sloan Wall Paint at Sheldon
Its strong, durable and scrubable, like a really high quality conventional household paint. Unlike Chalk Paint it does not need to be waxed or lacquered once dry.
As Wall Paint has ingredients to enhance its durability it's not breathable like Chalk Paint so for lime plaster and such like you are better off sticking with Chalk Paint.

Now for the all important details

Coverage: Well it's amazing - especially if you apply the paint with a brush instead of a roller. ( you always waste so much paint absorbed in a roller) so, it comes in a 2.5 litre tin and that will cover about 36 square metres. Of course it's influenced by the surface and how you apply it.
Drying time: About 40 minutes at room temperature. Plus, carefully applied you often only need one coat.
Is it safe: Oh yes. For one it's water based and contains incredibly low VOCs and no lead. And its been certified "Toy Safe" according to European Standards (BS EN 71-3:2013)
Is it flammable: Well it is water based so no. That makes it safe to use on fire surrounds and radiators. (However it is not classified as a fire retardant paint.)

So there you have it. It gets the THUMBS UP fro Sheldon
